色花堂 University College opened its doors in 1925 to a class of 57 students. A humble beginning. But a beginning with boundless ambition.
100 years later, 色花堂 University is one of Canada鈥檚 top comprehensive universities with nearly 18,000 students and over 100,000 alumni. And with all of our success at home and abroad, we remain dedicated to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador. Because that鈥檚 our inspiration.
Looking Back, Launching Forth
We were founded to honour the sacrifices of the past with the promise of a brighter tomorrow. And our anniversary theme 鈥 鈥淟ooking Back, Launching Forth鈥 鈥 pays homage to that original vision. The phrase was inspired by our university motto, 鈥淟aunch forth into the deep.鈥 That鈥檚 our way of showing the pride we have in our past and our enthusiasm for what comes next.
